「磺火季」的捕魚方式為新北市北海岸的古老捕魚法，透過燃燒磺土產生伴隨著爆炸聲的火光，而吸引魚群並使其蜂擁竄躍出水面，進而捕撈。然而近幾年海洋污染問題以及魚況與捕撈技術轉變，願意出海的船隻減少，以磺火的傳統捕魚方式也即將失傳。

The fishing method used during the “Sulfur Fire Season” is a fishing tradition from the north coast of New Taipei City. The combustion of sulfur allows fishermen to produce afire whose light attracts the fishes, but also whose explosion sounds scare them and make them jump out of the water.
In recent years, however, ocean pollution, decline in the fish population as well as changes in fishing methods using sulfur have been disappearing over time.

此互動展示讓觀這可揮動雙手，親自操作收集海中垃圾，將透過捕撈垃圾轉換成原有魚群的超現實體驗。表現過去健康生態下，魚群的活躍豐沛，以及海洋垃圾對於魚群產生的危害，而重現傳統磺火捕魚方式之感觀震撼，並延續其精神。

This interactive display allows viewers to use thier own hands to collect different kind of trash in the sea and witness thier surreal transformation into fishes. 
This aims to express that in a non-polluted environnement, just like we hand in the past, the fish population is vigorous and abundant, but is now severely impacted by marine debris, as well as to promote the revival of this Sulfur Fire fishing tradition, which is mesmerising and doesn’t loose its spirit.
